PAYMENTS
A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking.
The remaining balance is due two weeks before your cake is collected or delivered.
We accept payment by bank transfer or cash.
For short-notice orders, full payment is required at the time of booking.
All payments must be received by the due date to ensure your cake is prepared and ready for collection or delivery.
DISCLAIMER AND INFORMATION
Our cakes are produced in a kitchen that handles common allergens including nuts, wheat and dairy. While we take every precaution, we cannot guarantee our products are completely free from cross-contamination.
The customer is responsible for informing all guests abou potential allergens and for any allergic reactions that may occur after consumption.
The cake should be kept out of sunlight and at a room temperature not greater than 77 degrees farenheit in order to maintain the integrity of its components.
Cakes decorated with fresh cream must be kept in the refrigerator immediately upon receipt to prevent bacteria growth.
If the cake is exposed to higher than recommended temperatures, we cannot guarantee the stability of the cake and fillings and will not accept any responsibility for any changes to its structure or contents as a result. If the weather or room is greater than 77 degrees farenheit, the cake must be refigerated.
Design and Ingredients Variation
Due to the custom, handmade nature of the cakes, slight variation in colour and design may occur.
The Cake Box York and Tadcaster resreves the right to make minor design adjustments to ensure the structural and aesthetic quality of the cakes, especially when using custom or unique requests.
Some cakes my contain non-edible items such as dowel, wires or other supports. Please ensure that these are removed before the cake is served.
Delivery:
Once the cake has been delivered and accepted by the client or venue, The Cake Box York and Tadcaster is no longer responsible for any damage or issues that may arise.
Pickups
The customer is liable for any damage, accident or mishap that may occur once the cake is released from our care. It must travel in the boot of the car or footwell with air conditioning switched on.
The Cake Box York and Tadcaster is not liable for any damage that may occur thereafter.
